
Washington, D.C (February 19th, 2025), The South Asia Foresight Network (SAFN), operating under the auspices of the Millennium Project in Washington, D.C., is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Shahab Enam Khan as Senior Fellow and Co-Chair for the Bangladesh SAFN Node. This appointment recognizes Professor Khan’s outstanding academic contributions and leadership in advancing research on South Asia.
Prof. Shahab Enam Khan, a prominent figure in the field of international relations, is the Executive Director of the Bangladesh Center for Indo-Pacific Affairs (BCIPA). His collaboration with SAFN dates back to August 30, 2023, when a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Through his appointment, SAFN aims to enhance its scholarly network in Bangladesh and strengthen its research capabilities, providing deeper insights into the region’s political economy and foreign policy dynamics.
Prof. Khan holds a PhD and is a permanent faculty member in the Department of International Relations at Jahangirnagar University. His distinguished career includes serving as the Fulbright Professor in the Department of Political Science & International Relations at the University of Delaware during the 2022-2023 academic year. In addition to his academic responsibilities, Professor Khan continues to lead the Bangladesh Center for Indo-Pacific Affairs and previously served as the Research Director of the Bangladesh Enterprise Institute.
